21st Century PE?  How do I use a "device" to teach large groups of students...in a gym? Outside?  

 

No "device" will teach students.  But today's technologies WILL make us more effective and efficient teachers through organization, practical and time saving apps, cloud storage syncing across devices, and a world of research (Twitter, Youtube, etc), right at our fingertips.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our 21st Century Journey...

....began with a simple desire to be "paperless!

We initiated a BYOD concept and incorporated various strategies for paperless exchange of assignments and grading methods. Thanks to the generosity of our Dean and Provost, we were able to secure a classroom set of iPads. This allowed for smoother deployment of apps and easier troubleshooting of potential problems. 

 

With each passing semester, we dive deeper into seamlessly integrating technology into the daily lives and methods of teaching our content--truly being able to make deeper connections and more meaningful content for both our students and ourselves. Technology is no longer a tool that we use but more part of the routine that is 21st century Physical Education.
